Create a dashboard


Article Summary

Dashboards allow content to be displayed on selected users' home pages. Dashboards can be assigned to audiences and users can select and customise their assigned dashboards if allowed.

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Configure features > Shared service settings.
  2. Set Enable Totara Dashboard to Show
  3. Then go to Quick-access menu > Navigation > Dashboards.
  4. Click Create dashboard.
  5. Add the following information:
    • Name: A description of the dashboard so assigned users know the who the dashboard is aimed at
    • Locked: Assigned users will not be able to customise their dashboard when locked, while an unlocked dashboard can be customised by users
    • Allow guest access: Allow guests users to view the dashboard
  6. Choose an option for Assigned audiences - Availability
    • Available to no users
    • Available to all logged in users
    • Available only to the following audiences
  7. Select Assign new audiences.
  8. Select Save changes.
