An organisation type is an extra label you can add to an organisation to categorise it. For example, you could have an organisation type of 'Department', one for 'Project', and one for 'Location' to distinguish different types of organisations within your company.
If you wish to associate a type with an organisation then you will first need to create one by following these steps:
- Go to Quick-access menu > Organisations.
- Click Manage types.
- Click Add a new type.
- Complete the required fields.
- Click Save changes.
Your type can now be used to classify organisation items in your framework(s).
Next steps
- Edit an organisation type
- Delete an organisation type
- Assign types to an organisation
- Reclassify organisations in bulk
