    Delete a main menu item

    When customising your site's main menu, you may wish to delete any custom main menu items you have added. You will not be able to delete a custom top-level menu item until you have first removed (deleted or moved) the items sat underneath it. 

    Note that it is not possible to delete any of the default main menu items. If you don't want users to see any of these items, you can hide them instead.

    To delete a menu item, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Quick-access menu > Navigation > Main menu.
    2. Click to cross icon () next to the item you wish to delete.
    3. Click Delete on the confirmation screen. 

    The item will now be permanently deleted from the site, and therefore no longer visible or accessible by any users.
