Enable restrict access


Article Summary

To use the restrict access feature, it must be enabled by a Site Administrator:

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Configure features > Learn settings.
  2. Checking the Enable restricted access box.
  3. Select Save changes

A Restrict access section will then be available for course editors on an activity settings screen with an Add restriction button. 

Enabling or disabling specific restrictions

From the quick-access menu go to Plugins > Availability restrictions > Manage restrictions you can enable or disable any of the individual restriction types for use throughout the site.

You can also enable or disable specific restriction types to determine which restrictions can be implemented throughout the site. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Plugins > Availability restrictions > Manage restrictions.
  2. Click the eye icons in the Hide/show column for each restriction type to enable or disable them. If the eye is open () it means the restriction is showing (available), and if the eye is crossed out () then it is disabled.
