Restrict access based on language

Article Summary

You can restrict access to an activity or resource based on the preferred language the user has set in their profile. This is helpful in multi-lingual courses, as you can ensure that only the correct language is displayed to the learner.

Follow these steps to restrict access based on preferred language:

  1. Navigate to the course and select Turn editing on.
  2. Click Edit next to the activity for which you want to restrict access.
  3. Expand the Restrict access section and click Add restriction.
  4. Select User language.
  5. You can select whether the learner must or must not match the specified completion criteria.
  6. Select the relevant language from the dropdown menu.
  7. Finally, select Save and display or Save and return to course to confirm your selection.

You can also click the X delete icon to cancel without saving.
