Subscribe to an event monitoring rule

Once one or more event monitoring rules have been created by either yourself or someone else, you can subscribe to those rules to be automatically notified when they are triggered. 

1. Click your name in the top-right corner. 
2. Go to Preferences > Event monitoring.
3. Select the course or context for which you wish to subscribe to a rule from the Select a course dropdown menu. 
4. Select the instance(s) you want to subscribe to from the dropdown menu next to the desired rule in the Rules you can subscribe to table.

You will now see that rule, for those instances (and that course or context) listed in the current subscriptions table. In this table you can click the cross icon () to unsubscribe from a rule.

As a Site Administrator you can also subscribe to rules by going to Quick-access menu > Server > Event monitoring rules and clicking the Event monitoring link. From this page follow steps 3 onwards as described above.
