Export user data

As a user on a Totara site, you can request an export of your own data via your profile page. Generating an export file may take some time, so you will be notified when the file is ready to download. It will be stored for five days, during which time you will need to download it, before it is removed. You will only be able to request one export at a time. The download will be a ZIP file containing a JSON file, and other files if they've been included in the request.

To export your data, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Profile page by clicking your name in the top-right corner. 
2. Under the Administration section, click the Request data export link. 
3. Select an export type from the dropdown menu.
4. Click Request data export. 

You will then see a message confirming that your export has started, but this can take some time. You will be notified once the exported file is ready. Click the link in the notification and click Download data export file to save a copy of your data.
