Enable course requests

If you want users to be able to request new courses, you can enable course requests. If you have an active community of Course Creators, it may be beneficial for learners to highlight areas in which they'd like to develop and receive more training. Enabling course requests can ensure that their training needs are identified and met, and encourage your users to form communities of practice and social groups.

To enable course requests, follow these steps:

1. Go to Quick-access menu > Courses and categories > Course request.
2. Check Enable course request.
3. Set the Default category for course requests.
4. Check Enable category selection and select the category that course requests will be placed in.
5. Set the Course request notification. This determines which users will be notified when a course request is made.
6. Click Save changes.

A Course request button then appears on the all courses page. If users then request new courses, the roles that you have selected for notification will see a Courses pending approval button on the all courses page.
