    Configure virtual room providers


    Article Summary

    In many cases you may need to use virtual rooms for seminar events that can't be held in physical locations. Totara Learn's Virtual meetings plugin allows you to create virtual rooms for Zoom or Microsoft Teams when setting up your seminar events, without leaving Totara. Before you can create virtual rooms for seminar events you need to configure the Virtual meetings plugin.

    To set up virtual rooms you can follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Quick-access menu > Plugins > Virtual meetings > Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
    2. Enter the App ID and Client secret from Azure (if using Microsoft Teams) or Zoom admin (if using Zoom). See the technical documentation on setting up your Microsoft Teams integration or Zoom integration for more information.
    3. Click Save changes.

    Once you have set this up Microsoft Teams or Zoom will appear in the Virtual room provider list when creating a new virtual room. For information on Zoom's API limitations and maximum usage, please see the technical documentation.
