Within Totara the report source determines the columns that are available for use within that report. Some columns will be included by default in either embedded reports or when creating a new report (user reports), but these columns can always be edited (provided you have the right permissions) to adjust them to your needs.

User report

There are currently over 90 report sources to choose from in Totara.

When creating a new report you will be provided with a summary of the default columns when you select the report source. Full instructions can be found on the View report default columns page.

Embedded report

Although there is no quick way to view all of the default columns included in an embedded report you can go into the report and edit it to customise the included columns.

Notes

For some report sources you may want to use either the User last login column or the User last login (Relative) column, which are similar, but could be useful for different reports. User last login displays the absolute date, e.g. 8 Sep 2022. User last login (Relative) shows a natural language string, depending on how long ago the point of time is. Here are some examples of possible strings:

Within the last five minutes
Within the last hour
Yesterday at 11:14 AM
23 days ago
A month ago
2 years ago
