    Rate a competency


    Article Summary

    From the competencies profile it is possible to bulk rate competencies that you have been assigned for self rating or to rate as an Appraiser or Manager. By going to the bulk ratings page you will see a list of all rateable competencies grouped by framework. 

    Rate your own competencies

    You can use the steps below to rate a single competency or to bulk rate multiple competencies. 

    1. Go to Develop > Competencies.
    2. Click the Rate competencies button in the top right of the competency profile page.
    3. Click the Rate button for the competency (or competencies) you want to rate.
    4. Select the rating level you'd like to set from the pop-out of the rating scale (and optionally add a comment).
    5. Click Done on the rating scale pop-out.
    6. Repeat steps 2-4 for all desired/available ratings. 
    7. Click the Submit button when you are finished to save all of the ratings. 

    Once you have made a rating (and before you click Submit) you will see a pencil icon alongside that competency in the New rating column. This allows you to edit the rating before submitting it.

    Bulk rate another user's competencies

    As a Manager or Appraiser you can use the steps below to rate a single competency or to bulk rate multiple competencies. 

    1. Go to Develop > Team and click on the competency profile link for the relevant team member. 
    2. Click the Rate competencies button in the top right of the competency profile page.
    3. Click the Rate button for the competency (or competencies) you want to rate.
    4. Select the rating level you'd like to set from the pop-out of the rating scale (and optionally add a comment).
    5. Click Done on the rating scale pop-out.
    6. Repeat steps 2-4 for all desired/available ratings. 
    7. Click the Submit button when you are finished to save all of the ratings.

    Rate competencies dashboard

    If you are assigned to rate competencies as a Manager or Appraiser then you will be able to bulk rate competencies via the Rate competencies dashboard. 

    1. Go to the profile page.
    2. Click the Rate others' competencies link in the Development section. 
    3. Use the Rating as a dropdown menu to filter by competencies available for you to rate as either a Manager or Appraiser. Only competencies available to rate as a particular role will be shown when that role is selected. 
    4. Browse the list of users or search for a user and then click their name to be taken to their ratings page. 
    5. Click the Rate button for the competency (or competencies) you want to rate.
    6. Select the rating level you'd like to set from the pop-out of the rating scale (and optionally add a comment).
    7. Click Done on the rating scale pop-out.
    8. Repeat steps 2-4 for all desired/available ratings. 
    9. Click the Submit button when you are finished to save all of the ratings.
