Users with the **badges:awardbadge** capability can manually award badges. ## Award a site badge manually 1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Badges.* 2. Click the trophy icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/trophy.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T12%3A55%3A00Z&se=2026-11-07T13%3A55%3A00Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=j6HTAwlGR4mPiImpJ%2BukQFJttudUuL5%2FXjMbb2TpXjU%3D)) next to the badge you want to award manually. 3. Highlight the user(s) to be awarded the badge in the **Potential badge** **recipients** column (you may need to use the search if you have a lot of eligible users). 4. Click the **Award badge** button in the middle. Multiple users can be selected using Ctrl+select. Note that there is no save button, so once you have selected a user and clicked the **award badge** button they will immediately be moved to the **Existing badge recipients** column, meaning they have been awarded the badge. Badges can also be revoked or unawarded on this page. ## Award a course badge manually 1. Go to the course containing the badge you wish to delete. 2. From the **Administration** block go to *Course administration > Badges > Manage badges*. 3.
