# Clone a dashboard

If you wish to create a new [dashboard](/18/docs/what-is-a-dashboard) based on an existing dashboard then you can do this by cloning the existing dashboard. When you clone a dashboard all of its content will be recreated in the new dashboard, including any blocks that have been added to it, and any audience assignments.

To clone a dashboard, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Navigation > Dashboards* to view all dashboards.
2. Click the icon of two sheets of paper (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/clone_icon.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T12%3A38%3A26Z&se=2026-11-07T13%3A38%3A26Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=QFS5XMncuFUDDtmYAvIOzLAc34BrzcbiOHZToQbiMgw%3D)) to clone a dashboard.
3. Click **Continue**.

The new dashboard can now be edited using the cog icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/cog.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T12%3A38%3A26Z&se=2026-11-07T13%3A38%3A26Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=QFS5XMncuFUDDtmYAvIOzLAc34BrzcbiOHZToQbiMgw%3D)).
