# Confirm user accounts in bulk

If you are using [self-registration](/18/docs/self-registration-with-approval-settings) then you may need to confirm users' accounts (depending on your settings) to grant them access to the site. You can confirm many user accounts at once using a bulk action.

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Users > Bulk user actions.*
2. Select the users you wish to confirm (you may need to filter if you have a large number of users on your site).
3. Click **Add to selection**.
4. Select **Confirm** from the **With selected users** dropdown.
5. Click **Go**.
6. Click **Yes** on the confirmation screen.
7. Click **Continue**.

You can select multiple users at once using the **CTRL** (or **CMD**) key on your keyboard.

Users can be filtered according to full name, surname, first name, email address, city/town, country, confirmed, first access, last access, last login, username, and authentication.

If you have set a custom profile field, this will also be available from the **Profile** dropdown box.
