Create a resource

Article summary

Resources are one content type in Totara Engage. Follow these steps to create a new resource:

  1. Go to the Library, then select the plus icon (Icon

Description automatically generated) next to Your resources in the side panel.
  2. Select the Resource tab.
  3. Give the resource a title.
  4. Add the resource content in the text editor, then click Next.
  5. Select an option for the visibility of the resource:
    • Hidden (only you)
    • Limited (only people and workspaces you share to)
    • Public (anyone can see and share this content)
  6. If you select Hidden or Limited then select an option for Time to read.
  7. If you select Public you’ll need to assign tags using the Assign one or more tags dropdown.
  8. If you select Public or Limited you can choose who the resource is shared with using the Share to specific people or workspaces dropdown. Note that this setting is optional if set to Public.
  9. Select Done to create the resource.
If you have enabled Totara Engage content in the catalogue, note that only resources set to Public will be displayed in the catalogue.
