# Edit a category

Follow these steps to edit an existing [category](/18/docs/what-are-categories):

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Courses and categories.*
2. Find the category you wish to edit.
3. Click the **Actions** icon, then select **Edit** from the dropdown to edit the category.
4. Make the required changes.
5. Click **Save changes** to save the category.
