# Rate a playlist

As a Totara Engage user you can rate other users’ [playlists](/18/docs/totara-engage-content-types) to show how useful you found the playlist, and allow other users to find useful playlists.

Follow these steps to rate a playlist:

1. Select the playlist from either the library or catalogue.
2. Expand the information panel using the arrow if required.
3. Under the star rating in the information panel, click **Add your rating**.
4. Select a rating using the stars in the pop-up window.
5. Click **Done**.

The playlist’s average rating will then be updated.
