# Restore a file type

If you have previously deleted a file type and wish to restore it then you can do so following these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access > Server > File types*.
2. Click the downward arrow icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/download(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T13%3A04%3A25Z&se=2026-11-07T14%3A04%3A25Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=lhB4mv0Br6QKqRCa%2BfTNGZzCAdD1BcUEb0XZvPSQxGY%3D)) alongside the file type you wish to restore.
3. Click **Yes** to confirm.
