Restricting access to course activities

Article summary

Setting up restrictions

Before you can set up any restrictions in your courses you will need to enable restrictions.

You can set up restrictions based on the following:

You can also create nested sets of restrictions that use multiple restriction types. Alternatively you can restrict access to entire sections of your course.

You can optionally choose to hide any content from users that are unable to access it.

Deleting an item used for activity restriction

When you delete an activity, audience, organisation, or position that is used in the access restrictions of an activity or a section, it is marked as (missing). The condition is no longer fulfilled to prevent unauthorised access to the activity.

A Course Creator needs to either remove or alter the restrictions in the edit page.
