# Start a discussion

You can start a new [discussion](/18/docs/what-are-discussions) in a [workspace](/18/docs/what-are-workspaces) by following these steps:

1. Go to *Collaborate > Your spaces*.
2. Select the workspace in which you want to start a discussion.
3. Go to the **Discuss** tab.
4. Type your discussion post in the text editor and add any links, images, or files.
5. Click **Post**.

To edit a discussion the poster can click the icon of three dots (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-1632841686076.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-07T12%3A54%3A46Z&se=2026-11-07T13%3A54%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=BEq%2B3ZzcMzMXy%2FL00h5BijE87bANNdvk0HOV4Ijy7o8%3D)) and select **Edit**.

Any files attached when creating a discussion post will be stored in the workspace's file storage. You can review all of the files attached to discussions in a workspace by clicking **Browse files**.
