# Add a badge endorsement

You can add third-party endorsements to badges to indicate that a third party approves of the badge and is satisfied that the badge is a good representation of the achievements it describes. Essentially this gives your badges additional credibility as they are backed by a trusted organisation.

The process is the same for site and course badges, the only difference is the path taken to get there.

## Add site badge endorsement

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Badges.*
2. Click the name of the badge for which you wish to add an endorsement.
3. Select the **Endorsement** tab.
4. Configure the [settings](/19/docs/badge-endorsement-settings).
5. Click **Save changes.**

## **Add course badge endorsement**

1. Go to the course containing the badge for which you wish to add an endorsement.
2. From the **Administration** block go to *Course administration > Badges > Manage badges*.
3. Click the name of the badge.
4. Select the **Endorsement** tab.
5. Configure the [settings](/19/docs/badge-endorsement-settings).
6. Click **Save changes.**
