# Add a course badge

As a Site Administrator, Site Manager, Course Creator or Editing Trainer you can add a course badge.

1. Go to the course you wish to add the badge to.
2. From the **Course Administration** menu, navigate to *Badges > Add a new badge.*
3. Complete the badge details.
4. Click **Create badge** to add your new badge.

You can then configure the [criteria](/19/docs/badge-criteria) and [message options](/19/docs/edit-a-badge-message).
