Generating images

To generate AI images in areas of the site images can be uploaded:

  1. Click the Generate Image button under the editor.

  2. From the Generate image pop-up use the text field to add your prompt and description of the image to be generated.

  3. Click generate to create the image.

  4. Once the image has been generated it will automatically be added into your editor.

  5. If the image is not suitable, delete the image and generate a new image with a different prompt following the above steps.

Best practice for generating images with AI

When using the AI image generation feature, following a few simple best practices will help you create clearer, more useful visuals—especially when supporting learning content.

  • Be clear and descriptive

Provide enough context so the AI can understand what to generate. Think about the subject, style, setting, and any visual mood or emotion. For example:

"A diverse group of professionals in a modern training room, with a facilitator leading an interactive session. Clean, flat illustration style, soft colours."

This is much more effective than a vague prompt like “people in a room.”

  • Start simple, then refine

AI image generation is iterative—start with a straightforward prompt and adjust based on the results. Add detail gradually to guide the style, layout, or atmosphere you want.

Try: “An open laptop on a desk with a learning dashboard on screen.”

Then refine by adding: “Soft lighting, wood desk, minimalist background, flat design style.”

  • Match the visual style to your content

If you're designing for formal training, use clean, consistent styles (e.g., flat or isometric illustrations). For informal or motivational pieces, a looser or more colourful style might work better.

Consistency helps maintain a cohesive visual identity across your learning content.

  • Avoid overloading the prompt

More detail isn't always better. Too much instruction can confuse the AI. Aim for a balance: enough guidance to be clear, without overwhelming the model with unnecessary specifics.
