# Bulk close a performance activity

If you no longer want or need an active [performance activity](/19/docs/what-are-performance-activities) then you can close all subject and participation instances at once.

To bulk close instances for a performance activity, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Activity management* (/mod/perform/manage/activity/index.php)*.*
2. Click the icon of two people (![manage_participation(1)](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/manage_participation(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T07%3A21%3A29Z&se=2026-11-06T08%3A21%3A29Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=vFCpSzOdDQTYk%2BPOwjuoYArlZpZiVq%2Bu7KBZsp5WZsw%3D)) next to the activity you wish to close.
3. Click the **Close all instances** button in the top-left corner of the page.
4. Click **Close all** on the confirmation screen.

All subject and participation instances will be closed, regardless of any progress made.
