# Check user time zones

This tool checks the time zones specified in your users' profiles. In order for time zones to work correctly, a location-based time zone should be specified, e.g. America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Singapore. Some time zone abbreviations (e.g. CET, EST) and UTC offsets (e.g +/-4.5) will not calculate Daylight Savings changes correctly.

Follow these steps to check user time zones:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Localisation > User timezone check*.
2. See the status of user profile time zones.

This tool will allow you to change unsupported time zones to an approved format if required.
