Playlists are one type of user-generated content which allow users to curate lists of resources, courses and surveys.
You can create a new playlist by following these steps:
- Select Your library from the main menu.
- Click Create new, then select Playlist.
- Give the playlist a name (and optionally a description), then click Next.
- Select an option for the visibility of the playlist:
- Hidden (only you)
- Limited (only people and workspaces you share to)
- Public (anyone can see and share this content)
- If you select Public you need to assign the playlist to tags using the Assign one or more tags dropdown. You can remove tags by clicking the cross.
- If you select Public or Limited you can choose who the playlist is shared with and where it is shown using the Share to specific people or workspaces dropdown. Note that this setting is optional if Who can see this? is set to Public.
- Click Done to create the playlist.
Note that if you set a playlist visibility setting within a workspace to Public, you will not be able to change the visibility at a later date. If you set the visibility to Limited, you will only be able to change it to Public, but once changed to public, the visibility cannot be reverted. If the playlist is set to Hidden, then you can freely change the availability as required.
In the library of a Private workspace, any resources added to a playlist with Limited visibility will also appear individually in the workspace library. If either the playlist or the workspace are Public then the playlist can contain items that aren't included in the workspace library.
