# Delete a tag

If you no longer want or need a [tag](/19/docs/what-are-tags) you may wish to delete it from a tag collection.

You can delete tags individually or in bulk.

## Delete a single tag

1. Go to *Quick-access > Appearance > Manage tags.*
2. Click the name of the collection you wish to delete a tag from.
3. Click the cross icon next to the tag you wish to delete.
4. Click **Yes** on the confirmation window.

The single tag will be deleted from the collection.

## Delete multiple tags

1. Go to *Quick-access > Appearance > Manage tags.*
2. Click the name of the collection you wish to delete tags from.
3. Click the tick box next to the tags you wish to delete.
4. Click the **Delete selected** button.
5. Click **Yes** on the confirmation window.

All the tags you selected will be deleted from the collection.
