# Embed media via a link

If you have a link to media content, such as a video, then you can embed this into a user-generated resource or other content area (such as a label in a course).

Firstly, create your resource, label or other content, then follow these steps:

1. Select the link icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/link.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T06%3A55%3A46Z&se=2026-11-06T07%3A55%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ZRJabrALaEDxnZt38%2FNmIzog0LtBodOGZwIPQVuKS7E%3D)) in the editor.
2. Enter the website address in the **URL** field.
3. Select **Done**.

The media will now be added to your content. Complete the rest of the steps for adding the resource, label or other content.

## More information

Note that the **Display text** field is unavailable when linking to a video from a recognised site (YouTube or Vimeo).

In addition to the method outlined above, you can simply paste a Youtube or Vimeo URL into the editor and the video will be automatically embedded.

In the bottom-right corner of the video player you can click the three dots icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/three_dots(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T06%3A55%3A46Z&se=2026-11-06T07%3A55%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ZRJabrALaEDxnZt38%2FNmIzog0LtBodOGZwIPQVuKS7E%3D)) to **Edit** the URL, display a text link instead, or **Remove** the video.
