A matching question asks Learners to match multiple responses with multiple questions or statements. While additional incorrect answers can be added to increase the difficulty of the question, a correct answer is required for each question.
To set up a matching quiz question, follow these steps:

- Select Matching, then click Add.
- Give the question a name, then enter the question in the Question text field.
- Set the Default mark, i.e. how many marks the Learner will be awarded if they answer correctly.
- Tick the Shuffle checkbox to randomise the order of answers.
- Enter each question in the Question fields, and the answers in the corresponding Answer fields. You can add distractors by entering additional answers while leaving the question field empty. You can also add more questions and answers by clicking Blanks for 3 more choices.
- Either enter feedback for correct, partially correct and incorrect answers in the Combined feedback section, or use the General feedback field.
