True of false questions give learners a binary choice, where they will need to decide if a given statement is true or false.
To set up a true or false quiz question, follow these steps:
- In the quiz activity, click Add, then select a new question.
- Select True/False question, then click Add.
- Give the question a name, then enter the question in the Question text field.
- Set the Default mark, i.e. how many marks the Learner will be awarded if they answer correctly.
- Select either True or False for the Correct answer field.
- Enter the feedback that will be provided depending on whether the Learner answers true or false. If you don't want to provide specific feedback for each answer, instead use the General feedback field.
- If required, configure the Multiple tries and Tags sections.
- Click Save changes.
Note that if the quiz activity is using Adaptive mode (where multiple attempts are allowed but the score is reduced for each incorrect attempt), the Penalty for each incorrect try setting for true or false questions will always be set to 1. As there are only two possible answers for a true or false question, this prevents the Learner from receiving any marks on their second attempt.
