# Enable tag areas

A tag area can be enabled (or disabled) by using the eye icons in the **Enabled** column.

1. Go to *Quick-access > Appearance > Manage tags.*
2. Click the eye icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_close.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T18%3A24%3A31Z&se=2026-11-01T19%3A24%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=BSKG0LJYnZdvpCEkjA2LgmuPLZW1MdHJ06KnJs9YqUU%3D) ) alongside the tag area you want to enable.

The tag area will then be enabled. Note that there is no save button.

If the eye is open (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_open.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T18%3A24%3A31Z&se=2026-11-01T19%3A24%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=BSKG0LJYnZdvpCEkjA2LgmuPLZW1MdHJ06KnJs9YqUU%3D)) then the tag area is currently enabled, and clicking it will change the icon to an eye with a cross through it (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_close.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T18%3A24%3A31Z&se=2026-11-01T19%3A24%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=BSKG0LJYnZdvpCEkjA2LgmuPLZW1MdHJ06KnJs9YqUU%3D)) which indicates that the tag area is now disabled.
