# Import a user tour

You may wish to import a user tour (perhaps from another Totara site). You can do this from the user tours management interface. You will need an exported tour file, which will have the **.json** extension.

To import your user tour, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Q**uick-access menu >* *Development > Experimental > User tours.*
2. Click **Import tour**.
3. Add the file using the file picker or by dragging and dropping the file.
4. Click **Save changes**.

You will then be shown the steps within the imported tour, so that you can edit them as desired.
