Link a course to a competency

You may wish to assign courses as a mandatory part of achieving a competency.

To link a course to a competency, follow these steps:

1. Go to Quick-access menu > Competencies.

2. Click the name of the competency framework containing the competency you wish to link a course to.

3. Click the cog icon ( ) next to the competency.

4. When editing a competency item, click the Linked courses tab.

5. Click Add linked courses.

6. Browse or search for courses, then tick the box alongside one or more courses to add them.

7. Check the Mandatory box for a linked course to make the course mandatory in any learning plans. Note that this does not make the course mandatory to achieve the competency.

8. You can remove a linked course from the competency item by clicking the bin icon ( ).

9. Once you've selected the required course(s), click Save changes.
