# Section links block settings

The **Section links** block helps the learner or Trainer to quickly navigate to a particular topic/week section of the course (depending on the course format).

## Settings

As well as the [common settings](/19/docs/block-settings) found on all blocks, within the **Section links** block you can also find the settings below. These allow you to set how many sections are displayed and whether to use numbers of topic titles.

| **Setting** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Number of sections | Once the number of sections in the course reaches this number then the increment by value is used. |
| Increase by | This is the value the section is incremented each time a section link is displayed, starting at 1. |
| Alternative number of sections | Once the number of sections in the course reaches this number then the alternative increment by value is used. |
| Alternative increase by | This is the value the section is incremented each time a section link is displayed, starting at 1. |
| Title display as | Decide whether to display as: - Number only - Title only - Title and number |

## Examples

Below are examples of what the sections link block (top left block in each screenshot) would look like with different **Title display as** settings.

### Number only
