Understanding Totara products

  • Totara Learn: The foundation of the Totara Suite is Totara Learn, a Learning Management System for upskilling your organisation’s workforce, and delivering transformational learning through structured, formal education and peer collaboration. It now includes enhanced features which were formerly found in Totara Engage. Totara Learn also includes essential features such as powerful audience controls, tenant management, and comprehensive reporting.
  • Totara Perform: Your Performance Management System, seamlessly extending Totara Learn to drive workplace productivity and professional development. This powerful extension helps organisations expand their learning and development efforts to become performance-focused.

With Totara, you have the flexibility to start with Totara Learn and add Totara Perform as your organisation grows and evolves, ensuring your platform adapts to your changing needs.

Totara Suite

When both Totara Learn and Totara Perform are implemented together, this is known as the Totara Suite. This powerful combination creates a unified experience that will cover all critical areas for your business to thrive.

Totara Learn (formerly Learn and Engage)

Totara Learn is a powerful Learning Management System (LMS) that allows you to create and manage courses, programs and certifications to assign to learners. These can contain various activities, instructor-led events and other blended learning content. Additionally, Totara Learn supports informal learning with workspaces, libraries, user-generated content and content curation, discussions, and more.

Note that Totara Learn now includes all of the features that were available in Totara Engage in Totara 18 and earlier.

Totara Perform

Totara Perform is a flexible and tailored Performance Management System that supports both modern and traditional performance management processes.

There are many ways you can use Totara Perform to increase productivity through continuous performance management, using evidence-based performance reviews. By using check-ins and feedback activities you can help align employees to company goals. Users and their managers can collaborate to create and track their goals, and link them to relevant learning.
