Once learners have started working through the contents of their learning plan, you may want to update the status of different content items. While the status of courses and programs on a learning plan will automatically update based on their completion settings as the learner completes them, you need to update competency and objective statuses manually.
Setting a competency status in a learning plan
As a manager you may need to change the status of a competency in a learning plan. This can be done by following these steps:
- Navigate to the learner's learning plan.
- Select the Competencies tab.
- Set the competency status using the dropdown in the Status column (if you have the required permissions).
- If you wish to edit the competency in detail and provide more information about the assessment you can instead click the bar graph icon (Set status) in the Actions column.
- Edit the assessor details, assessment type, status, and completion details (including Proficiency achieved date).
- Click the Save changes button.
Update a goal status in a learning plan
As a manager you can update the status of a goal on an active learning plan by following these steps:
- Navigate to the learner's learning plan.
- Select the Objectives tab.
- Set the goal status using the dropdown option in the Status column (if you have the required permissions).
