# Access your skill profile

To access your own skill profile you will need to go to *Develop > Skills* from the main menu bar.

When you access the skill profile you will see information about any skills assigned to you, as well as a [**Self assign skills**](/totara-20/docs/assign-a-competency-to-yourself) button in the top right. There may also be a button in the top-right corner for [**Rate skills**](/totara-20/docs/rate-skill) if you have any skills assigned to you that you can rate.
