# Add a user profile block

You can add a lot of useful information to the profile page using the **User profile** block. Follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Users > Default profile page.*
2. Click **Blocks editing on**.
3. Click the plus icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/add_block.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T15%3A26%3A49Z&se=2026-10-29T16%3A26%3A49Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=w6CzyL1cUvophWiW0CfWKdmctbPA6TB8qliDwvJeqhs%3D)) in one of the layout areas, then select **User profile** from the list.
4. Click the cog icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/cog.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-29T15%3A26%3A49Z&se=2026-10-29T16%3A26%3A49Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=w6CzyL1cUvophWiW0CfWKdmctbPA6TB8qliDwvJeqhs%3D)), then **Configure User profile block**.
5. Expand the **Custom block settings** section.
6. Select which information you want to display in the block using the **Display User Profile category** setting.
7. Configure which fields you want to show using the **Enable fields in...** setting (if applicable).
8. Click **Save changes**.

The block will now display the selected information on the user profile.
