Assign the Tenant Domain Manager role

Article Summary

When using multitenancy on your site, you can assign additional roles related to managing your tenants. You can assign Tenant Domain Managers from the Administration block in the tenant or from the Manage tenants page.

Tenant Domain Managers can create and manage both set and dynamic audiences within their own tenant. However, they cannot assign enrolled learning to the audience or see existing learning that has been assigned.

From the Administration block

To add Tenant Domain Managers from the tenant Administration block, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Tenants.
  2. Select the tenant to which you wish to add a Tenant Domain Manager.
  3. From the Administration block go to Category: [Tenant name] > Assign roles.
  4. Select Tenant Domain Manager from the list of roles.
  5. Browse or search to select the user(s) from the Potential users column.
  6. With users selected, click Add in-between the two columns.

Once all the users who require the Tenant Domain Manager role are in the Existing users column you can navigate away from the page. There is no save button.

From the Manage tenants page

It is only possible to add Tenant Domain Managers from the Manage tenants page after you have added members and/or participants to the tenant.

To add Tenant Domain Managers using this method, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Tenants.
  2. Next to the tenant, click the icon of a person and plus sign () in the Domain Managers column.
  3. Select Tenant Domain Manager from the list of roles.
  4. Browse or search to select the user(s) from the Potential users column.
  5. With users selected, click Add in-between the two columns.

Once all the users who require the Tenant Domain Manager role are in the Existing users column you can navigate away from the page. There is no save button.

Customising the tenant theme

Tenant Domain Managers can customise the look and feel of their tenant if your site uses the Ventura theme. To do so, these users can open the quick-access menu and select Ventura.

For more information on customising tenant themes, see the Ventura documentation.
