Cloud file storage

Totara supports cloud file storage as an optional, additional way to store and backup files from your site.

There are a number of reasons to use cloud-based file storage on your Totara site, including:

• Regular, scheduled backups to keep copies of your files online
• Limiting the size of shared dataroot in web clusters
• Sharing content between different environments (e.g. staging and production sites)

There are multiple cloud storage options, including Amazon S3 and Azure Blob Storage, as well as custom store providers.
