# Delete a playlist

If you no longer require a [playlist](/totara-20/docs/totara-engage-content-types), you may want to delete it so that other users cannot access it.

Follow these steps to delete a playlist:

1. Select the playlist from either the library or catalogue.
2. Click the icon of three dots (![](https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/5s9OlIO57CfZCRNiL79mhHwi0vIXX6Z9SF-7b5gwIFFajR92grLLeGuytLsANKqATMsZryPIYww3AE69RVSD_r2CKnUPjgR7XbC76MCyBATbLdXyQJ0m97k5PBvnVg-IMUyojfDx=s0)) on the information panel (you may need to expand the panel first).
3. Select **Delete**.

When you delete a playlist, the resources and surveys included won’t be affected. However, please be aware that playlists themselves can’t be recovered if you delete them.
