Delete an event monitoring rule

If you decide that you no longer want or need an event monitoring rule then you can delete it. This will permanently remove it from the site and remove any subscriptions. 

From the site

As a Site Administrator you can delete event monitoring rules at the site level.  

  1. Go to Quick-access menu > Server > Event monitoring rules.
  2. Click the cross icon () next to the rule you wish to delete.
  3. Click Continue on the confirmation screen. 

The rule will now be deleted from the site. 

From a course

As a Trainer you can only delete monitoring rules that were created at the course level. 

  1. Go to the course in which you wish to delete a rule. 
  2. From the Administration block go to Course administration > Reports > Event monitoring rules.
  3. Click the cross icon () next to the rule you wish to delete.
  4. Click Continue on the confirmation screen.
