# Delete OAuth 2 service

If you no longer require an OAuth 2 authentication service then you can delete it. You might want to consider simply [disabling it](/totara-20/docs/disable-oauth-2-service), if you don't want to permanently delete the connection and any associated data.

To delete the service, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu >* *Server > OAuth 2* *services*.
2. Click the cross icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/thin_cross.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T11%3A34%3A39Z&se=2026-11-01T12%3A34%3A39Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=%2BR18PFZ%2FL65fx2FzAZo%2Bvu52OtPfeHt6Uh25uOqTkAw%3D)) in the **Edit** column.

The service and its associated data will now be permanently removed from your site.
