# Duplicate a seminar

If you want to create a new seminar with similar (or identical) settings to an existing seminar activity, you can simply duplicate the existing activity. Duplicating a seminar activity will mean that all of the settings, including any seminar events and their settings, will be copied into a new duplicated seminar activity.

To duplicate a seminar activity, follow these steps:

1. Go to the course containing the seminar activity.
2. Select **Turn editing on**.
3. Next to the seminar activity, click the **Edit** dropdown and select **Duplicate**.

Where you have prevented room booking conflicts this duplication will not include the room.
