# Embed media with the Weka editor

You can embed media via the Weka (default) [text editor](/totara-20/docs/text-editors), for example in a user-generated resource or a label in a course.

Firstly, create your resource, label, or other content. Then follow these steps in the Weka editor:

1. Select the image icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/embed_media.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T06%3A09%3A21Z&se=2026-11-06T07%3A09%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=YCy2Vw9xnYV5Zz8dSkZUf6mTtdZg4nKlBl3vPIcAhTI%3D)) in the editor.
2. Select the video, audio or image file from your device.
3. Click **Open**.

The media will now be added to your content. Complete the rest of the steps for adding the resource, label or other content.
