When creating a course using GO1 content, activity completion is automatically configured and SCORM activity completion will either require the Passed or Completed status. However, the course completion criteria are not set up automatically.

If you have set up GO1 courses without configuring course completion, you can enable the activity as criteria for completion in the course completion settings, and then once cron has run, any existing activity completions (prior to the criteria being enabled) should show as complete in the Record of Learning.

Troubleshooting: API errors

When creating a course with content marketplaces you may see the following error displayed:

Exception - Unexpected response from GO1 API. Received 404 (Called URL https://api.go1.com/link/to/scorm)

This error is typically displayed if a GO1 account has been created outside of Totara and SCORM integration has not been enabled. To resolve the issue, SCORM integration should be enabled through your GO1 account and a SCORM provider application should be generated. There are three ways to solve this issue.

Firstly you can enable SCORM integration and generate a SCORM provider application through your GO1 account by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your GO1 account and select Integrations from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enable the SCORM integration option.
  3. Once enabled, select SCORM (under the Add-ons heading), and click Generate SCORM Provider Application to activate the integration. A SCORM application ID will be generated. The key does not need to be entered anywhere, as simply generating the key will allow content to be used in Totara.
  4. Log in to Totara and repeat the course creation process via the content marketplace to confirm that the course is successfully created and the error is no longer displayed.

If you have any problems generating an application you can also contact GO1 Support, who will be able to enable the SCORM integration option on your account and generate a SCORM provider application. Alternatively you can contact Totara Support, and our team can work with GO1 to enable the SCORM integration option on your account and generate a SCORM provider application.
