# Enable the blog activity

Before you can use the blog [activity](/totara-20/docs/course-activity-types) on your site you will need to enable the activity as a Site Administrator.

To enable the activity, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Configure features*.
2. Make sure that **Enable legacy blogs** is ticked.
3. Click **Save changes**.
