It describes how program information is presented and how learners view their progress and requirements. From a learner perspective, the program page is organised around two views, accessed using tabs at the top of the page: - **Progress** - **Requirements** Together, these views allow learners to understand their current status and what is required to complete the program. ## Progress tab The **Progress** tab presents a structured view of the learner’s progress through the program. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-M1OTJCNT.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) ### **Program status and progress** At the top of the **Progress** tab, learners see: - The program path they are currently on - The **Status** progress indicator showing the overall completion percentage - The **Due date** for the program (if set) - An option to **Request an extension**, if enabled within the program settings This section provides learners with immediate visibility of their overall status and remaining time. ### **Course sets** Below the **Progress** summary, the program content is organised into course sets. For each course set, learners see: - The course set name - A message indicating what courses, or many courses are to be completed, for example: **All courses in this set must be completed**. - An estimated time to complete the course set, if configured Course sets are displayed in sequence, reflecting the order in which they must be completed. ### **Courses within a course set** Within each course set, courses are displayed as individual course cards. Each course card includes: - The course title - A course image, where available - A course-level progress indicator - A **Launch course** button The progress indicator on each card reflects the learner’s completion status for that course. Learners can launch courses directly from the program page. ### **Sequential progression** When there are multiple course sets, visual labels between sets indicate the requirements and order. These can include: - **Then:** Complete course 1 first, then course 2 - **And:** Complete course 1 and course 2 in any order - **Or:** Complete either course 1 or course 2 ### **Enhanced Progress View** #### **Available from Totara v20.2** The Progress tab is organised into two expandable sections that provide a comprehensive view of the learner's program journey: - **Current**: Shows the program path currently in progress - **Completed**: Shows previously completed program paths with the ability to expand and view the structure and courses that were completed Each section is presented as an expandable card component, allowing learners to explore detailed structure and course-level information without cluttering the interface. This enhanced view provides complete transparency of the program journey, making it clear what has been completed and what is in progress.![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-OSAARYY9.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) ## Requirements tab The **Requirements** tab provides learners with an overview of how the program is structured and what is required. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-31PZSMY3.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) ## Enrolment details Learners can view their enrolment details within the programs by clicking the three dots ( ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-044F5MKL.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) ) in the top-right corner of the program page and selecting **Enrolment details**. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-IP2F98F9.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) An **Enrolment details** pop-up will appear, detailing: - **Date assigned** - **Due date** (if set) - Whether the learner can withdraw from the program (dependent on the configuration if [self-enrolment](/totara-20/docs/certification-self-enrolment-1) has been enabled for the program) - **Your enrolments**, which details how the learner has been enrolled (i.e. via audience membership, individually assigned or via self-enrolled) ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-E9TWUQOZ.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) ![Course badge](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/course-badge_programs-and-certifications.svg?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T09%3A38%3A10Z&se=2026-11-01T10%3A38%3A10Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=hf%2BPQp%2F7Y%2FPDsB8R4Zxp5fH7rJ0YDk9j3yXrTxaCsU4%3D) The Totara Academy has a whole course dedicated to using [Programs and certifications](https://totara.community/mod/page/view.php?id=24374) in Totara Learn.
