# Multi-factor authentication notification triggers

Notifications can be configured to be sent when the following events/triggers relating to [multi-factor authentication](/totara-20/docs/multi-factor-authentication-for-site-administrators) occur:

| **Notification trigger event** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| User added multi-factor authentication | Multi-factor authentication has been configured for a user's account. |
| User deleted multi-factor authentication | Multi-factor authentication has been removed from a user's account. |
