# Schakel een badge uit

Misschien wil je geen [badge](/totara-20/docs/what-are-open-badges) meer en wil je deze uitschakelen. Dit verhindert dat gebruikers toegang krijgen tot de badge, maar staat toe dat de badge op de site blijft als je er niet klaar voor bent om hem te verwijderen.

## Schakel een site badge uit

1. Ga naar *Snelmenu > Badges.*
2. Klik op het open oog-icoontje (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_open.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T14%3A48%3A21Z&se=2026-11-01T15%3A48%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ras1R080DGYv6899uEEUs5Msd8dUceLNEhXqSdkQkIg%3D)) naast de badge die je wil uitschakelen.

De badge wordt nu uitgeschakeld en er wordt een gesloten oog-icoontje (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_close.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T14%3A48%3A21Z&se=2026-11-01T15%3A48%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ras1R080DGYv6899uEEUs5Msd8dUceLNEhXqSdkQkIg%3D)) naast getoond.

## Schakel een cursusbadge uit

1. Ga naar de cursus met de badge die je wil uitschakelen.
2. Ga vanuit het **beheer** blok naar  *Cursusbeheer > Badges Badges > beheren*.
3. Klik op het open oog-icoontje (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/eye_open.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T14%3A48%3A21Z&se=2026-11-01T15%3A48%3A21Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=ras1R080DGYv6899uEEUs5Msd8dUceLNEhXqSdkQkIg%3D)) naast de badge die je wil uitschakelen.
